I exercise regularly to keep myself fit by going to the gym and playing football. This allows me to have that work-life balance and boosts my productivity levels throughout the day.

Hello, I Am Abresham
May 2023 Ambassador of the Month
I decided to do an apprenticeship as the benefits immensely outweigh the costs when considering a degree apprenticeship. I am able to obtain a BSc degree free of any cost, no debt due to student loan, 4 years worth of work experience, a variety of trainings outside my field of work, and high chances of landing a full time job after my apprenticeship. On the other hand, the traditional university pathway would only provide me with a degree and perhaps more free time. Finally, this apprenticeship is giving me the opportunity to learn the key fundamentals of cyber security whilst i'm working on an actual project, with real expectations and deadlines.

Cyber security deals with protecting the company's network, system, data etc. from external malicious activity. In our department, we work in strategical planning and implementation as to how we can further improve Vodafone's security and prevent any attacks from taking place. On a daily basis: there are plenty of meetings including a 'Daily Stand Up' to discuss actions and resolve any obstacles.
"Only 3 months into my apprenticeship, I have taken lead of my project and presented to senior stakeholders."
One of the biggest challenges I've had to face is that there are many technical concepts to absorb in a short amount of space, so putting in extra time to research them and understand helps significantly.
