No two days are alike - and that means plenty of learning and work stays interesting. My role involves supporting product quality trials and projects. These arise as a result of development and/or improvement opportunities incumbent to the business objectives. Other tasks include the review and implementation of new standards of work across the sites. Alongside the daily activities, I support the development our team of keen apprentices in finding their career paths of passion, as well advocate the preservation of the EDEN (European Dairy Education Network’s Dairy Apprenticeship) apprenticeship programme for the UK dairy industry.

I have a passion for learning all things behavioural science related. My ambitions outside of work is in ring of professional dog handling. And you'll find me, always in the mood for good food and music - the perfect pairing for the soul.

There have been a lot of highlights in my career to date. Including:
1. Being shortlisted FDF Rising Star award 2022
2. Developing a DoE for the risk assessment of paper straws use over plastic
3. Being appointed South West Chairperson of SDT (Society of Dairy Technology)
4. Developing the EDEN programme within the business
Feeling good and confident about your capability cannot be over stressed. My university degree gave me the qualifications for a role but I lacked any confidence in my competence. Besides, most advertised vacancies require some level of industry experience however minimal that maybe. Apprenticeship programmes are a great starting point to learn from ground up, gain certified qualification and grow confident in your value to the company.
Apprenticeships have the same credibility as any other university degree, without the student debt. In the same completion time, you will have earned the qualifications, a wage and showcased your potential merit while you develop ready for your post-graduation role.
