Tell us more about your experience

No two days are the same! So far, I’ve spent some days presenting data, sharing insight with our senior leaders to help them make data-driven decisions. Other days, I’ve been taste-testing new drinks, or setting up in-store trials to see how improvements we’re making can help our baristas in the future as well as improve the Costa experience for our consumers.

Of course, there’s usually time to grab a Costa on my way into the office before all the hard work starts!

Making the transition from being a Barista in a Costa Store to taking on a graduate role has definitely been a highlight so far. Knowing that I’ll be able to make an impact on the business on a global scale rather than in one store is so exciting.

Learning to code for my first graduate rotation was a huge challenge! Although I studied Maths at university, I’d never written any code before, so it was a very steep learning curve. I had such a supportive team around me, they were always on hand to help me fix any errors and gave up their time whenever I was struggling, which made the learning process much more enjoyable.

Reach out to someone you look up to, even through LinkedIn, and ask for a chat! More people than you'd expect would be willing to give you half an hour of their time. It's a great learning opportunity.

You never know what might happen as a result of one conversation!
