O n a day-to-day basis I am in charge of the preventative maintenance tasks, servicing and keeping the machines working. This would include following company polices to ensure the heavy-duty machines are safe to operate and are fit for purpose. I would also have to respond to machine breakdown and resolve the issue no matter how big the issue is.

There are never two days the same and there is always a problem to solve.

The highlight of my career so far has been attending various careers fairs and inspiring others about apprenticeships, and what an apprenticeship is and what it involves

Everyone is helpful, if I am ever stuck or need support in or out of the workplace there is always someone willing to help.

You just have to be confident and ask.

Do not be scared to do it because it's not normal. Give it a go and you will be fine.

Work hard and do everything the best you can.
