Q&A with Elizabeth
I decided to do an apprenticeship as it was an opportunity to earn money whilst learning at the same time. It is also a great way to work my way up and build skills.
A highlight of my apprenticeship so far has been my time as an Ambassador for the MTC. Within this role, I have been able to meet important people and go to industry events, such as Women in Manufacturing.
The great thing about Parker Meggitt is that my colleagues on my team are very welcoming and supportive of me in completing my apprenticeship. I don't finish my apprenticeship for another 3 years, but I would love the opportunity to be made a permanent employee of Parker Meggitt by the end of it.
For anyone considering applying for an apprenticeship, my advice would be to do it! because it could be a once in a lifetime opportunity!
