Senior Equine Groom - Dressage Yard

They currently have around 45 horses on site, including liveries and breeding horses, with stallions on site. In September, they will be moving to a much larger yard with additional facilities, including a café.
This is a hands-on position within a busy dressage and breeding environment. The successful candidate will need to be confident and experienced with horses and all general yard duties.

The role will include:
Mucking out / keeping yard area tidy
Feeding / filling haynets and water buckets
Turning in and out
Picking out feet / rugging up
Grooming / Tacking up
Tack Cleaning
Bathing / Show Prep
Lunging / long reining
Holding for farrier / vet / dentist
HOURS
The usual start time is 7:30am, although this can be flexible for the right person.
The yard operates on a rota basis, with shifts changing depending on shows, competitions and the requirements of the yard, so flexibility is important.

Skills required
Experienced and knowledgeable with horses
Reliable and hardworking
Confident handling a variety of horses, including stallions
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible around changing shifts and show schedules
Keen to work within a busy dressage and breeding yard
Qualifications required
GCSE in English (grade 4 and above) and Maths (grade 4 and above) is desirable
