What you’ll do at work

  • Mucking out and keeping yard tidy
  • Feeding, filling haynets and water buckets
  • Carrying out daily horse care routines
  • Grooming, tacking up and turning horses in and out
  • Assisting with exercise and fitness programmes
  • Riding to a decent level / please include your riding experience on CV
  • Carrying out general yard duties
  • Ensuring horses are cared for to a high standard
  • Following health and safety procedures
  • Working as part of the wider yard team

Training you'll get

Your training plan

  • You will be working towards the Level 2 Equine apprenticeship qualification, and all training will be provided on-site during your paid working hours
  • Your day-to-day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach

Future prospects

  • Possibility of progressing to the Level 3 Senior Groom and or full time employment
