With the support of experienced salon professionals, you’ll develop your practical skills, build confidence and learn what it takes to deliver a great experience for every client.
What will you be doing?
As a Level 2 Hair Professional Apprentice, you will learn how to:
Welcome clients into the salon and help create a friendly, professional atmosphere.
Shampoo, condition and treat hair, selecting suitable products for different hair types.
Learn and practise blow-drying, styling and finishing techniques.
Assist stylists with cutting, colouring and other salon services as your skills develop.
Prepare workstations, maintain a clean and tidy salon, and keep equipment sanitised.
Learn about hair and scalp conditions, haircare products and aftercare advice.
Support the team with appointments, client consultations and general salon duties.
Follow health and safety procedures and maintain high standards of hygiene.
Build positive relationships with clients and colleagues while developing your communication and customer service skills.
You’ll work towards your Level 2 Hair Professional qualification, combining practical experience in the salon with off-the-job training and support from your training provider.
