Equine Groom - Private Dressage Yard

The role will include:

  • Mucking out / keeping yard area tidy

  • Feeding / filling haynets and water buckets

  • Turning in and out

  • Picking out feet / rugging up

  • Grooming / Tacking up

  • Tack Cleaning

  • Bathing / Show Prep

  • Lunging / long reining

  • Holding for farrier / vet / dentist

HOURS

The yard operates on a rota basis, with shifts changing depending on shows, competitions and the requirements of the yard, so flexibility is important.

Accommodation is not currently available.

Skills required

  • Experienced and knowledgeable with horses

  • Reliable and hardworking

  • Confident handling a variety of horses, including stallions

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Flexible around changing shifts and show schedules

  • Keen to work within a dressage

Qualifications required

GCSE in English (grade 4 and above) and Maths (grade 4 and above) is desirable
