Business Administrator Apprentice for the Finance Directorate

Pension is payable from the start date, access to our other benefits is after probation. We will do a 4 day contract, we expect the 5th day to be spent on their study program – the salary payable for the 4 days is £21,549

The Law Society is the professional body for solicitors in England and Wales.
We're here to represent solicitors, and advocate for access to justice and the rule of law.
This role will support the finance directorate in the following ways:
Manage inbox and diary of director
support the department heads where required
Manage team meetings and work with departments outside of the team to co-ordinate times that work for all that are aligned to our cycle of the year
Track progress of business admin that need to be completed by all staff eg mandatory training
Help create and develop the intranet for the finance department
Be willing to support in data entry wherever there is a need within the department
The post holder will:

Typical responsibilities include:
Record and document management: Preparing accurate emails, reports, proposals, and maintaining confidential records
Communication: Verbal, written, and digital communications with stakeholders; using appropriate channels effectively
Planning and organising: Managing diaries, meetings, resources, logistics, and deadlines
Project support: Assisting with project planning, monitoring, and reporting, and potentially leading small projects
Decision-making: Exercising initiative, effective judgement, and problem-solving skills
Interpersonal skills and stakeholder management: Building positive relationships across teams, influencing appropriately, mentoring or coaching others as required
Quality and process improvement: Ensuring work meets standards, reviewing and improving processes, and resolving complex issues
Compliance and knowledge application: Understanding organisational policies, relevant regulations (e.g., data protection, health and safety), and business fundamentals
Skills required
IT Proficiency: Skilled in MS Office and other systems for document creation, data analysis and reporting
Time Management and Organisation: Prioritising and completing tasks effectively
Professional behaviours: Integrity, reliability, proactivity, adaptability, accountability and ethical conduct
Business awareness: Understanding organisational structure, operations and the influence of market and regulatory environments on a business C
Qualifications required
GCSEs in English and Maths along with A levels or B-Tech in Business Studies

During the contract the apprentice will be able to access our linked in learning and courses. The apprentice will be welcome to apply for vacancies as they arise and subject to performance and budget we would look to make the role permanent
