We are looking for a motivated and organised individual to join our team as an Accounting Apprentice.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in building a long-term career in accounting and finance. You will gain valuable hands-on experience while working alongside experienced professionals and completing a recognised accounting apprenticeship.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with bookkeeping and maintaining financial records

  • Processing invoices, receipts and payments

  • Supporting bank reconciliations

  • Updating spreadsheets and accounting software

  • Assisting with VAT and payroll-related administration

  • Responding to client and supplier queries

  • Supporting the wider finance team with general administrative duties

You will receive full workplace support and training throughout your apprenticeship. The role is ideal for someone who is reliable, willing to learn and has good attention to detail.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • An interest in accounting and finance

  • Good numerical and IT skills

  • Strong communication and organisation skills

  • Attention to detail and a positive attitude

  • A willingness to learn and develop professionally

This apprenticeship offers a great first step towards roles such as Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeper or Assistant Accountant.

Skills required

  • Good numerical skills and attention to detail

  • Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Ability to work accurately and manage tasks independently

Qualifications required

  • GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above, or equivalent

  • Interest in working towards a recognised Accounting apprenticeship qualification

  • No previous accounting experience is required; full training will be provided

Training you'll get

You will complete a recognised Accounting apprenticeship qualification while gaining practical, workplace-based experience. Full support, mentoring and structured training will be provided throughout the programme.

Future prospects

On successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be opportunities to progress into roles such as Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeper or Assistant Accountant, with further professional training and development available.
