Equine Groom Apprentice - Event Yard

The role will also consist of yard duties:
Mucking out/keeping yard area tidy
Feeding/filling hay nets and water buckets
Turning in and out
Picking out feet/rugging up
Grooming/tacking up
Tack cleaning
Bathing/show prep
Lunging/long reining
Holding for farrier/vet/dentist
Riding for the right candidate
The ideal candidate will be friendly and motivated and be enthusiastic and passionate about learning. You should be confident handling horses and be fully prepared to work in all weathers! In return you will be part of a great small team who work together to get jobs done as well as enjoy time socialising and time away from work to have fun. For those with their own horse there is the option for livery and coaching from Sophie.
If you are keen and ready to learn about horses but not sure what pathway then this would be the perfect opportunity as you will have experiences across the board with support from a great team.
This position is suitable for those who already have some experience with horses, ideally competition fit horses
There is self contained accommodation available with this position and livery for own horse
The work requires working in all weathers, so please be prepared for this type of work
Working Hours
5 Days to include 1 weekend day per week, split shifts 7.30am to 12.30pm and then 2.30pm to 5.30pm.

Qualifications required
GCSE in English (grade 4) and Maths (grade 4)
Training you'll get
Training is provided by experienced staff including riding and various yard tasks.
Future prospects
Possibility of progressing to Level 3 Senior Equine Groom Apprenticeship upon completion of Level 2.
