A motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Groom is sought to join our friendly family-run private Show jumping competition yard. The role involves daily yard duties including mucking out, feeding, and turnout, grooming and tacking up, maintaining high standards of horse care and yard presentation, helping run Training Shows, and assisting with the care of our private competition horses. As skills develop, opportunities arise to progress to lunging, working and exercising horses, and riding (depending on experience). This position offers a supportive environment with excellent opportunities to learn and progress, alongside the chance to work with quality private competition horses, and participate in show opportunities for the right person. Working days will be discussed, with weekend work expected. There are additional paid hours available on the livery side of the yard for those looking to gain more experience. Candidates must be hardworking, reliable, keen to learn, and passionate about horses, with existing skills in the horse industry as these are competition horses.
