As a Service Technician/Mechanic apprentice, you work in the SEAT Huddersfield service department to deliver right-first-time fixes and excellent customer service.
The programme lasts three years and provides a long-term career with excellent earning and progression opportunities upon completion.
- You use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults, test parts and systems, and follow checklists to examine critical components.
- You carry out bumper-to-bumper service and inspections, maintain electronic systems (including on-board entertainment), and repair or maintain vehicle parts such as clutches, gearboxes, tyres, brakes and suspension.
- You complete legible and accurate paperwork for customers and centre records and keep your work environment clean and tidy.
- You work with a wide range of products including traditional, hybrid and electronic engines, gaining varied technical training from heritage vehicles to modern technology.

Qualifications required
GCSE 9–4 (A–C) in English, Maths and Science. In Scotland, Scottish National 5 Grades A–C in English, Maths and either a Science or Technical subject. Equivalents include BTEC first diplomas/certificates, OCR Nationals, Key Skills Level 2, NVQs, Essential Skills (Wales), Core Skills (Scotland). Predicted grades considered; conditional offers may be made based on predicted grades.
