The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic ITEngineer Apprentice to join our technology team. This is a hands-on rolesupporting the macOS devices, SaaS platforms, and end-user technology that keepour operations running. In an environment where reliability is critical, youwill learn how modern, cloud-first IT is managed, secured, and supported,working along side experienced engineers who will mentor you throughout yourapprenticeship. No prior commercial experience is required; we are far moreinterested in your curiosity, problem-solving instinct, and willingness tolearn. By the end of the programme, you will have a solid foundation in IT support, Cyber Security, device management, and SaaS administration.



Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to staff, logging, triaging, and resolving hardware, software, and access issues,and escalating more complex problems to senior engineers.

• Help set up, configure, and supportmacOS laptops and end-user equipment, including enrolling devices into mobiledevice management (MDM) and assisting with new-joiner onboarding.

• Administer and support the SaaSplatforms the business relies on — managing user accounts, access, and licencesacross tools such as identity providers, collaboration suites, and productivityapps.

• Assist with monitoring systems andconnectivity, flagging anomalies and learning to interpret alerts anddashboards.

• Support routine maintenance such assoftware updates, patching, and configuration changes across devices and cloudservices.

• Maintain accurate documentation, including asset inventories, support tickets, and step-by-step guides for common procedures

Skills required

• A genuine interest in technology and abasic understanding of how computers, operating systems, and networks work;familiarity with macOS is a plus.

• An interest in AI and automation, and aneagerness to learn how tools like these can improve IT support and day-to-dayworkflows.

• Comfortable using everyday softwareincluding office and collaboration tools (documents, spreadsheets, email, chat).

• Confident in learning new tools and systemsquickly with guidance.

• Clear written and verbal communication,with the ability to explain technical matters to non-technical colleagues.

• Numeracy and logical reasoning.

• Any hobbyist experience, scripting, home labs, using AI tools etc is abonus but not essential.

Successfulcompletion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 InformationCommunications Technician, with training in how to:

· Efficientlyoperate and control your ICT infrastructure – physical or virtual hardware,software, network services and data storage.

· Useinfrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing,deployment and monitoring of infrastructure components.

· Prioritisesystems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance.

· Maintainregulatory, legal and professional standards.

· Supportthe information systems needs for your business.

Future prospects

This apprenticeship is the starting point for a long-termcareer in technology. On successful completion, there is scope to develop intoan Enterprise Technology Engineer, taking ownership of the systems andplatforms that underpin the business. As you grow, you'll have the opportunityto take on new tools and technologies, deepen your expertise in devicemanagement, identity, and SaaS administration, and learn to write code andbuild automation that improves how the team works.
