Trainee Door Engineer – Apprenticeship

Embark on an exciting journey as a Trainee Door Engineer, developing essential skills in the installation, maintenance and repair of various door types and related systems.

45 hours per week with available over time- shifts vary by travel times 45 hours a week1 yearCommunication skills, IT skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Problem solving skills, Presentation skills, Administrative skills, Number skills, Analytical skills, Logical, Team working, Creative, Initiative, Non judgemental, Patience, Physical fitness, A genuine interest in door engineering, construction, welding, electrical systems or related trades, Some familiarity with hand tools and power tools would be beneficial, although full training will be provided, Ability to follow instructions carefully and work safely, Willingness to learn how to read technical drawings and schematics, Strong teamwork skills and a proactive attitude towards safety, quality and customer service, Good communication skills when working with engineers, supervisors, customers and other trades, Reliable, punctual and willing to attend both site-based training and weekly online classroom sessions, Willingness to complete coursework, practical assessments and examinations throughout the 18-month apprenticeship, Motivation to achieve an NVQ and the required industry-specific qualifications, A commitment to developing a long-term career in door engineering or the wider construction industry, A good standard of workmanship with attention to detail

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

• English (grade C/4 or above)
• Maths (grade C/4 or above)

Driving Licence in:
