Would you love to be part of a professional engineering team that maintains and repairs a modern and varied fleet of vehicles?

You would be part of our evening Cleaning team.

Stagecoach Cumbria & Lancashire operates 440 vehicles over 6 sites and our West Cumbria team are looking for people from a background in vehicle Cleaning to be part of our growing team. You may be in a truck / HGV, rail, light commercial or automotive setting at the moment, but fancy a change of vehicles.

Our West Cumbria depot operates a varied range of vehicles from minibuses and Double Deckers on a daily basis, we operate Alexander Dennis, Scania, Mercedes and Optare vehicles.

You’ve probably seen some of our vehicles driving around West Cumbria and surrounding area, transporting our fantastic customers across the Cumbria & other parts of the Country.

Those customers rely on our services to get them to work, to the high street, to hospitals, to days away and nights out – and as part of our engineering team you’ll be a key part in making sure our vehicles are in tip top condition to do just that. It’s a really important role within our depot, so we’ll make sure you’re as looked after as our vehicles are!

Don’t worry if you’ve not worked on these vehicles before (or indeed buses) – we’ll train you on everything you need to know, and you’ll be supported by a great team.

Aside from the reward of helping to deliver an incredible experience to our customers, there’s plenty more we can offer:

Job Security – we’ve been going since 1980, we turn over £1.3bn and we’re not planning on hanging our boots up anytime soon!

Safe Environment – we provide boots, overalls and specialist equipment so no need to worry about being safe and protected, or having the right kit for the job.

Free Travel – for you and your companion on our buses. That means on your days off you can be off shopping for free without worrying about parking the car, or heading off for a day in the city or the Lakes without paying a fortune in petrol or train fares!

So, if you have an engineering background with a vehicular slant (truck, haulage, automotive, plant, rail, farm – if it moves, it’s good experience for working on buses) and have a passion for great work with a great team, then we can’t wait to receive your application!
