Opportunity Details

As an Apprentice Administrator you will be joining the employee benefits division. Employee Benefits include private medical insurance & group life assurance.


Key Duties:

  • Day to day office administration tasks
  • Management of a portfolio of insurance-based schemes
  • Provide support to Account Handlers and Consultants
  • Liaising with clients (first point of contact) – telephone and email
  • Data input, formatting, analysing and checking
  • Insurance Broking
  • Preparation of risk specification documents and reports
  • Maintain office presence and build relationships with other colleagues
  • Claims handling (liaising with clients and insurers)
  • Liaising with insurers and other external third parties
  • Assistance with New Business projects
  • Continual improvement of internal processes, procedures and systems

Skills Required

  • Knowledge of the Employee Benefits marketplace is preferable but not essential as full training will be given alongside the apprenticeship scheme
  • Experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work as a part of team but with control of own workload
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Qualifications Required

GCSE Maths and English at grade C (4) or above essential.

Training

Customer Service Specialist Level 3.

This apprenticeship is delivered through work based learning, this means that all training is done at the workplace eliminating the need to attend college. The successful candidate will be allocated a tutor who will provide a mixture of interactive online group teaching and 1-1 training monthly.

Prospects

Full training will be given in this challenging and varied role to ensure that the apprentice has the skills and expertise to become a permanent member of the team upon completion of the apprenticeship programme. The salary will be reviewed regularly and increased based on performance.

Other Information

  • Working Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.
  • 30 days annual leave
