Working hours Sunday to Thursday : 7.30am - 1pm with a break and 4pm-6pm, 4.5 days a week.

Opportunity Details

All normal yard duties to include:

  • Mucking out, sweeping
  • Washing and filling water buckets
  • Filling Haynets and making feeds
  • Bringing horses in and out from the fields
  • Tacking up and untacking
  • Grooming and changing rugs
  • Tack cleaning
  • Poo picking
  • Riding available for the right candidate

Skills Required

Experience is not essential however, you must show passion and a keenness to learning and wanting to improve and develop.

Qualifications Required

Level 4+ in GCSEs / Level 1+ in Functional Skills desirable but not essential.

Training

Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training, along with maths and English functional skills if required.

Personal Qualities

The ideal candidate will be able to;

  • work well as part of a team
  • have a love of horses whatever the weather!
  • be a friendly person.

Prospects

Progression to the level 3 Senior Groom and or full time job at end of apprenticeship.
