New Opportunities for 2025 to join their highly successful Kitchen Installations apprenticeship programme

Are you interested in learning a new profession, gaining new skills and experience to launch your career with the UK’s leading home improvement retailer?

Wickes are looking to recruit new colleagues onto their established 18 month programme. The apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity within the trade sector, tapping into life and trade skills with mentoring support and, on completion, a nationally recognised qualification (Level 2 Fitted Interiors).

Wickes work with over 2000 kitchen installers across the UK, and the apprenticeship programme can open doors to many great careers in the industry. Opportunities for people in a sector that can be flexible around them and deliver the potential to go on to set up their own business.

During your apprenticeship, you will work alongside a Wickes Approved Installer and will be installing Wickes kitchens into their customers’ homes. This gives you a fantastic opportunity to experience the working environment and put all of your learning into practice.

The formal training element of your apprenticeship will be delivered by Wickes' approved training provider WEBS Training Ltd and is focused on the technical aspects of fitting a kitchen, behaviour, customer services and setting up your own business. WEBS are a well established independent training provider serving the furniture manufacturing sector for more than 50 years.

Throughout your programme you will have a personal training officer, as well as support from your Line Manager, who can help you to plan your exciting future following your apprenticeship.

To be part of this phenomenal opportunity Wickes ask you to bring a genuine interest in a trade focused career, the energy to thrive in an environment where no day is the same.

Alongside this you will need some other tools for the job

  • Excellent practical skills and an awareness of health and safety
  • A ‘can-do’ attitude with good problem solving skills and ability to complete work to deadlines
  • Great communication skills and customer focus

As an apprentice you will be required to travel to customer's homes, so it will be necessary for you to hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle to travel to work.

What can Wickes offer you?

There are a lot of different career paths out there. So, why this one?

With more than 230 stores nationwide, Wickes kitchen and bathroom showroom has a wide collection of ranges and they offer a complete design and installation service. Wickes have been offering a fully installed service to their kitchen and bathroom customers for over ten years.

Wickes are currently the only kitchen and bathroom retailer to offer this complete service, giving them – and you – an advantage in the marketplace. But more importantly, the Wickes brand is a stamp of quality. Customers come to Wickes because they trust them and the standard of their work.

Wickes’ culture is their best kept secret; it’s collaborative, down to earth, fun and inclusive, where people feel part of a winning team. All Wickes' colleagues come from different backgrounds, but what they all have in common is a determination to succeed and a passion for being the best they can be.

Here, you can make the most of your talent. If that sounds like you, Wickes will make you feel right at Home.

With a Wickes apprenticeship, you not only learn from the best, but can become one of the best.
