Overview:  We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice. You will be diagnosing hardware failures and you have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete a Digital Applications Support SCQF Level 6 apprenticeship. 

Duties: 

  • You will act as first response to system-triggered alerts on our in-house system called SNOW (CRM). 
  • In time you will become a system expert on SNOW.
  • Restarting services and managing initial troubleshooting steps for incidents. 
  • Triaging automated alerts from customer systems and prioritising them based on severity. You will use Excel to support these activities.
  • Logging new incidents and alarms with appropriate priority levels. 
  • Ensuring timely responses and resolutions within contracted SLAs. 
  • Collaborating with team members using Microsoft Teams to manage and resolve technical issues efficiently.

  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the Operations Team, this will include liaising with colleagues using Microsoft Outlook. 

Essential skills: 

  • A keen interest in IT 
  • Willingness to learn 

No previous experience is required. 

Salary: £14,722.50 per annum. 

Working week: 37.5hrs per annum.

Future prospects: Guaranteed permanent role: At the end of the apprenticeship, we’ll offer you a guaranteed permanent role with a starting salary of £27,300 per annum, provided you complete your probationary period and qualification (subject to open position becoming available).

They ensure you settle in, help you develop all the skills you need to be successful in your job role and pass your assessments, and can provide one to one support.Starting with insights into your current potential, they plan your growth in a programmatic way, close skills gaps with immersive training and ensure what you learn is applicable to what you do. They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day to day role.
