Opportunity Details
We are a purpose built livery yard based on the outskirts of Odiham, Hook in North Hampshire.
The stables opened in 2010, with the aim to provide a top quality livery service whilst retaining a friendly and helpful atmosphere where our clients can not only feel confident that their horses are getting the best possible care but also their owners can relax and enjoy themselves too.
We have 40 stables and offer full livery or part livery, with optional DIY at weekends.
We employ professional, qualified staff that are here to care for your horse, offer help and advice when needed and to make you feel welcome.
General duties to include;
- Mucking out
- Turning out/bringing in
- Tack cleaning
- Tacking up
- Feeding
- Filling hay nets
- Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming
- Bathing
- Rug changing
- Paddock maintenance
- Schooling
- Riding (dependent on ability)
- First aid
- Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.)
- Holding for vet/farrier/dentist
- Training towards BHS stages

Skills Required
Some previous equine experience is essential
Qualifications Required
Must be able to work towards Level 2 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English
Training
Full training supported by Haddon Training
Personal Qualities
Successful candidate will be keen to learn everything involved with running a high standard livery yard
Prospects
Possibility of Level Yard manager/Team Leader L3 Apprenticeship on completion of Level 2
Other Information
Accommodation and free livery for own horse possible.
