Responsibilities:

  • Assist and support senior programmers with existing solutions whilst acquiring new skills and industry knowledge.
  • Design, implement and manage web applications and software solutions.
  • Upgrade and maintain existing applications.
  • Learn and apply programming languages and tools such as SQL.
  • Engage with clients to understand their industries, gather requirements and help manage projects.
  • Support software implementations from post-sales through to go-live.

  • Passion for technology, highly motivated and keen to develop new skills/knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High levels of numeracy.

  • Able to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of mobile devices – Android/Windows/Apple.
  • Working knowledge of SQL (advantageous but not essential.)
  • Full UK driver’s license and access to own vehicle (advantageous but not essential.)

Entry requirements:

  • 7 GCSEs total
  • English GCSE grade D or above
  • Other 6 GCSEs, including Maths, to be C or above
  • You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours:

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pm with 1 hour lunch break.
