Early Years educator Apprentice - Childcare Level 2

At the Green Door Nursery we work in accordance with best practice to provide an environment in which children feel secure and loved, enjoying all the wonderful things childhood brings; fun, laughter, learning, caring about others and making friends.

Some of your daily roles as an early years apprentice may include:

• Contribute to good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness in the nursery
• To undertake such other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature, as may be determined by the trainee’s supervisor from time-to-time
• The trainee’s duties must at all times be carried out in compliance with Inclusion policy
• Look upon the nursery as a "whole" where can you help be most utilised, be constantly aware of the needs of children
• To ensure provision of a high-quality environment meeting needs of individual children
• To develop and maintain strong partnerships and communications with parents/carers to
• facilitate day-to-day caring and early learning needs
• To be aware of the high profile of the nursery and to uphold its standards at all times
• To be aware of all emergency and fire evacuation procedures
• To understand, as part of training, you will be required to work in all areas of the nursery
• Observe health and safety procedures and work safely at all times;
• To be responsible for your own continuing self-development, undertaking training as appropriate to the working environment and location, and developments in your role;
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact;
• To attend out of working hours activities, e.g. training and staff meetings

Rate of pay up to £11.50 per hour (£22,725 per annum)

The positions are available with an immediate start working up to a maximum of 38 hours per week.
