Why creative and media?
Creative industries have historically relied on unpaid internships, which shut out anyone who couldn't afford to work for free. Apprenticeships are a paid alternative — and in a field where portfolio and experience matter more than qualifications, getting paid to build both is a significant advantage.
Common questions
Do I need a portfolio?
For design and content roles, usually yes — but it doesn't need to be professional work. Personal projects, coursework and social accounts all count.
Are creative apprenticeships paid?
Yes. Unlike many creative internships, apprenticeships are employment and must be paid.
