We've designed our recruitment process to hire the leaders of the future, and ensure people love the careers we have in store for them. Comprehensive support includes our dedicated Next Generation Talent Team guiding candidates throughout their journey, matched with existing apprentices as "buddy" support.

The Recruitment Process

Stage 1 - Application: Complete an online application providing personal details, qualifications, work experience and specific criteria responses. Answer honestly, as you will need to provide proof of these at a later stage.

Stage 2 - Job Simulation: If you pass the DHL Strengths Journey, you'll be invited to complete a Job Simulation - an opportunity to understand more about the role and the business, while we learn about you. Be confident in yourself and use this as an opportunity to showcase the best version of you.

Stage 3 - Experience Day: Following the job simulation, if you are successful, the final stage is the Experience Day. Preparation is key, but it's also important that you are yourself and show us who you really are - we'll provide you in advance with the details of what to expect.

Support Once You Join

From the moment you start you become part of the DHL family - your fellow team members and colleagues will have been eagerly waiting your arrival and planning how they can best support you. Buddies make contact with you even before you start, sharing tips and tricks from their own experience, and line managers contact candidates to arrange team introductions and onboarding logistics.

Line Manager & Mentor: Line managers provide day-to-day guidance with monthly 1:1s to assess progress, provide feedback and ensure appropriate challenge and support. You'll also receive a mentor to discuss your wider career aspirations and build your network outside your direct team.

Training Provider: A personal talent coach meets regularly to review your progress and make sure you're progressing along your qualification as planned, providing additional support regarding content and guidance.

Peer Community: Support also extends to your peers and team members within the organisational family.
