You will support the internal IT infrastructure and provide first-level technical support to employees. This role is designed for an individual eager to learn and develop their technical skills in a real-world professional environment. In this role you will have the opportunity to work under the guidance of senior engineers to maintain system stability, deploy hardware/software, resolve basic technical issues, and assist with asset management.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Act as the first point of contact for technical queries via ticketing system or email.
• Perform basic troubleshooting for hardware (PCs, laptops, printers) and software (OS, productivity suites).
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and updating of software applications.
• Guide end-users through basic technical processes to improve digital literacy.

Infrastructure & Maintenance
• Assist in the deployment and setup of new workstations and peripheral devices.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets (hardware and software licenses).
• Help monitor network connectivity and report outages or performance lags.

Documentation & Learning
• Create and update "How-To" guides and knowledge base articles for end-users.
• Document technical issues and the steps taken to resolve them.
• Attend training sessions and complete required certifications as part of the apprenticeship program.

Required
  • A strong passion for technology, computing, and problem-solving.

  • A proactive approach to learning and the ability to follow detailed instructions.

Desired
  • Basic understanding of Windows /Linux environments.
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Previous experience building a PC or managing a home network.

Qualifications required

A minimum of five GCSEs with grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), including English and maths
