We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic AAT Apprentice Accountant to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their accounting career who wants to gain practical experience while working towards an AAT accounting qualification.
You will receive on-the-job training and support from experienced members of the practice, developing the skills and knowledge needed to build a successful career in accountancy.
Key responsibilities:
Client onboarding and compliance checks.
Day to day bookkeeping and payroll using Sage and Xero cloud accounting software.
Month and quarter end management accounts.
Profit forecasts and cash flow projections.
VAT returns.
Financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
Individual, partnership and corporation tax returns.
Company secretarial work.
Ad-hoc projects as required by the client.
General office duties as and when required.

GCSE's grades 9/A* - 4/C including Maths and English.
Training you'll get
This Level 3 programme builds on the foundations for entry level talent to support growth within an Accountancy and Finance function.
Employees on this apprenticeship will ensure an Accountancy and Finance practice performs in the most effective way. It includes the AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting and provides the opportunity for them to support the business with essential skills and behaviours to drive results.
You will learn how to prepare financial statements for Sole Traders and Partnerships, the importance of management accounting information, and how to prepare VAT returns. You’ll develop the technical skills to start, or progress, your career in accountancy and this will allow you to continue with your studies onto Level 4.
To pass this level you will need to study the following four units:
Financial Accounting; Preparing Financial Statements (FAPS).
Management Accounting Techniques (MATS).
Tax Processes for Business (TPFB).
Business Awareness (BUAW).
