You will find yourself working in a busy, fast paced environment but for the right person this will be an enjoyable and varied role/opportunity.
You will work across and learn skills in all departments to include HR, Training and Recruitment.
Key Responsibilities:
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job through hands on experience.
Your duties will include:
- Maintaining confidential employee/contractor records, HR database and filing systems ensuring information is accurate, up to date and that staff files are compliant with regulatory requirements
- Co-ordinate onboarding including induction schedules, starter documentation and system access requests
- Monitoring and responding to emails received by the people function, dealing with routine enquires and escalating matters where appropriate
- Data inputting on systems to include sage, web roster, access screening
- Data inputting and reporting on excel spreadsheets to include tracking of annualised hours and annual leave
- Attend meetings as scheduled to produce detailed and confidential records for review by HR advisor/manager
- Monitor and follow up actions arising from meetings, updating action trackers and chasing outstanding responses
- Maintain accurate records and up to date data to ensure information is always current and available by the team (Visa’s, DBS’, and Training Records)
- Prepare, format, process and file HR documentation, including offer letters, contract amendments, policy communications and outcome letters
- Draft internal communications, notices and policy reminders for employees ensuring approved by line manager before circulating
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling employee information and sensitive HR documentation
- Complete apprenticeship coursework, maintain the apprenticeship portfolio, participate in progress reviews, and undertake off-the-job learning activities
- This list is not exhaustive, and the apprentice may be required to undertake other reasonable administrative duties appropriate to the role
To be considered:
Training: You must be willing to commit to completing a level 2 Admin Assistant apprenticeship standard.
To become an apprentice, you must:
- be 16 or over
- not already be in full-time education
As an apprentice you’ll:
complete a Level 2 Admin Assistant apprenticeship standard
have regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace
learn and train for a specific job
get paid and receive holiday leave
get hands-on experience in a real job
study for 6 hours of your working hours
complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
be on a career path with lots of future potential

Training you'll get
You must ensure you have suitable travel arrangements in place to get to the place of work in a timely manner.
This includes supporting the Recruitment Manager with establishing robust partnerships with local employment programmes, attending open days, job fairs and training events. In addition to creating candidate attraction strategies for specific geographical locations and your specific specialism i.e. nursing career fairs for Mental Health and Clinical support workers. Or, if the specialism was for part-time positions, the strategy may be more focused on recruiting students.
As a Apprentice Recruitment Consultant, through consultation with the Recruitment Manager, you will identify your specialist area within Complex Care to take the lead in recruitment for both existing and new packages (in addition to any other divisions to meet the needs of the business). This for instance could be ‘Clinical Support Workers’ in which you will take the lead in identifying the recruitment needs across our Clinical packages for both existing and new business packages and identify candidates which will be recruited to work across clinical packages within a specific geographical area.
