Apprentice IT Support Engineer - OX365

OX365 is a small, relationship-focused Managed Service Provider. We currently operate with a team of three people, meaning every team member has a direct impact on service quality, client satisfaction, company reputation, and business success.
We are looking to recruit an Apprentice Support Engineer with the intention of developing them into a long-term member of the team.
While technical aptitude is important, we place significantly greater emphasis on attitude, character, professionalism, and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide telephone, remote and on-site IT support to customers.
- Diagnose and resolve Windows desktop, laptop and server issues.
- Build, configure and deploy PCs and laptops.
- Install and support printers, networking equipment and peripheral devices.
- Monitor client systems and respond to alerts.
- Escalate complex technical issues where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate documentation and update support tickets.
- Assist with hardware installations, office moves and new client onboarding.
- Participate in IT projects including Microsoft 365 migrations, server upgrades and cloud deployments.
As an apprentice you will be completing a level 3 ICT Apprenticeship Standard. This will involve regular 1-1 sessions with a digital skills trainer, workshops and online learning.
Skills required
We are happy to train the right candidate from scratch.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
• Basic IT knowledge or aptitude
• An interest in Microsoft technologies
• A willingness to self-learn
• Evidence of practical experimentation (home labs, projects, volunteering, self-study,
etc.)
• Good problem-solving skills
Existing technical knowledge is considerably less important than the ability and willingness to
learn.
