What you’ll be doing

Office, Sales & Customer Support

  • Answer incoming calls and emails from trade and retail customers, directing enquiries to the appropriate team member

  • Process customer orders, quotations and sales information accurately using the company’s ERP system

  • Respond to basic questions about products, pricing, stock availability and orders

  • Help set up new customer accounts and keep customer records accurate and up to date

  • Support the sales team with general administration and customer enquiries

  • Keep customers updated on order progress, delivery information and tracking

  • Assist with resolving initial delivery and logistics queries

Warehouse & Logistics

  • Help receive deliveries and check quantities against delivery notes

  • Report any stock discrepancies or damaged goods to the relevant team member

  • Enter incoming stock into the company system and assist with stock checks and regular stocktakes

  • Pick electrical components accurately from warehouse locations

  • Pack orders securely and prepare them for dispatch

  • Print courier labels and organise packages ready for collection

  • Keep the warehouse and dispatch areas clean, organised and safe

  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including manual handling guidelines

Skills and qualities

  • Good communication skills

  • Comfortable using computers and learning new systems

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Good basic numeracy skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Adaptable and willing to learn

  • Organised approach to work

  • Comfortable working across both office and warehouse environments

Requirements

GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above are desirable.

Previous qualifications or work experience are also welcome, and the apprenticeship can be adapted to build on your existing knowledge and skills.

You should be comfortable moving between a desk-based office environment and more hands-on warehouse duties as part of the role.
