We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Business Administration Apprentice to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in business administration while gaining valuable workplace experience and a nationally recognised qualification. As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will provide administrative support across the business, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of operations. You will work alongside experienced colleagues, develop key business skills, and gain practical knowledge in areas such as customer service, communication, organisation, and office management.

Duties will include:

1. General Administration

• Provide administrative support including filing, scanning, photocopying, and data entry.

• Manage incoming calls and emails, directing queries professionally and promptly.

• Maintain accurate records and databases, following organisational procedures.

• Assist with organising meetings, preparing documents, and taking notes when required.

2. Office Support

• Help maintain office supplies, equipment, and shared resources.

• Support the upkeep of an organised, tidy, and welcoming workspace.

• Assist with coordinating room bookings, visitors, and deliveries.

3. Customer Service & Communication

• Provide friendly, professional frontline support to internal and external contacts.

• Draft basic emails, letters, and communications under guidance.

• Support team members by providing timely information and updates.

4. Data & Information Management

• Input and update data across various systems with a high level of accuracy.

• Assist in producing simple reports, summaries, or spreadsheets as directed.

• Ensure confidential information is handled appropriately and securely.

5. Project & Team Support

• Support project activities such as scheduling tasks, updating logs, and preparing materials.

• Participate in team meetings, contributing updates and completing agreed actions.

• Assist with ad hoc tasks and administrative support across departments as needed.

  1. Learning & Development Responsibilities

• Attend scheduled training sessions with the apprenticeship provider.

• Complete coursework, assignments, and assessments on time.

• Apply new skills and knowledge within daily tasks to support progression.

• Work closely with the Office Lead and line manager to review progress and identify development goals.

• Basic IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office or similar tools.

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Training you'll get

You will attend Exeter College one day a week working towards either the Level 2 Administration Assistant or Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship.
