Recruitment Resourcer & Administrator Apprentice
Cathedral Appointments · Exeter
This new role is the link between our candidates and our recruiters, and it is a genuine way into the recruitment industry. As an apprentice you will learn on the job from a close-knit team, while studying one day a week with Exeter College.
Most of your time will be spent talking to candidates, getting to know their circumstances and what they want from their next move, and keeping our records accurate so the right next steps happen quickly. The rest of your time supports our team of six recruiters with the admin that keeps live roles moving, and helps keep our LinkedIn presence active, consistent and useful to the candidates and clients who follow us.
Roughly 70% of the role is resourcing and 30% is admin and social media marketing. You will work with several recruiters at once, reporting to the Executive Director, and will start in our central Exeter office with hybrid working available once you have settled in.
This role would suit someone who enjoys talking to people, takes pride in getting the detail right and is keen to build a career in recruitment.
Duties will include:
- Speak to candidates by phone, email and video, running initial screening conversations and registering them for live and future roles
- Build and refresh our talent pool through proactive outreach, and respond quickly to new registrations
- Update our CRM promptly and accurately after every conversation, including GDPR consent
- Request and chase references, and complete right to work, ID and compliance checks
- Format candidate CVs into our house style and support recruiters with interview arrangements and general admin
- Join client meetings alongside recruiters, in person or on Teams
- Post live vacancies and regular company content on our LinkedIn page, and use LinkedIn to find and approach potential candidates
- Handle personal data securely and with discretion at all times
