Starting Salary: £30,000 per annum (Subject to review) 

Location: Caledonian House, West Kinfauns, Perth. PH2 7XZ

Working hours per week: Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, 37.5 hours per week. Occasional weekend and night site work will be classed as overtime.

Start date: April 2027

About the team:

Join our supportive and inclusive team within NMC SW, where you will work on projects that make a real difference to communities across the UK. 

Amey’s Scotland Southwest account supports the delivery, maintenance and improvement of key transport infrastructure across the south-west of Scotland. The account typically involves working in partnership with public sector clients to keep road networks safe, reliable and efficient for local communities and road users. Activities may include highways maintenance, asset management, inspections, winter service, incident response, repairs, and wider operational support. The account brings together commercial, operational and technical teams to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with contractual requirements. 

What you will do:

• Implement commercial processes for cost capture, valuation, procurement and reporting.

• Submit applications for payment in a timely manner and agree accounts with clients and contracts.

• Ensure maximum recovery of all contractual entitlements.

• Assist in preparing commercial reports, including monthly Cost Value Reconciliation reports, cash flows, budgets and forecasts.

• Liaise with Operations teams to ensure costs and value are correctly coded.

• Manage subcontractor accounts in line with agreed subcontract agreements and Amey processes for certification, payment and liability.

• Manage all aspects of subcontract procurement. 

• Provide commercial support as required or directed.

What you will bring:

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, keen to learn and ready to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative team. 

• Minimum 2:2 degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.

• Full UK driving licence.

Behavioural competencies 

• Good commercial and financial acumen 

• Computer and excel literate 

• Developed written, verbal and presentation communication skills 

• Keen to develop QS career
