We are seeking someone that is enthusiastic and eager to learn.
List of duties to include:
Preparing and cooking food to a high standard.
Learning basic cooking and preparation techniques.
Assisting with breakfast, lunch, cakes and daily specials.
Preparing and using fresh, local and farm-reared ingredients.
Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.
Stock rotation and storage. Helping with deliveries and kitchen organisation.
Working as part of the kitchen and front-of-house team when required.
Following food safety, health and safety and allergen procedures.
Developing new skills and ideas as experience grows.

Qualifications required
Ideally Maths and English GCSE 4/C’s or above.
Training you'll get
One day a week at College to gain a Level 2 Professional Chef qualification
Skills officer visits workplace every 6-8 weeks
Mentor in the workplace teaching you new things and supporting you to ensure you work towards portfolio of evidence
Future prospects
The successful apprentice will have the opportunity to develop their skills and progress within the Ruby Red Café and Exe Valley Farm Shop. There may be opportunities for continued employment and further training following successful completion of the apprenticeship
