Apprentice Commis Chef

An apprentice chef will be very much a part of the kitchen team, involved in all aspects of kitchen work. They will start on the starters/desserts section, learning how to prep produce, hone knife skills, follow recipes, organise mis-en-place, learn stock management and best storage practices, strong teamwork, as well as following orders and plating up in service fast and efficiently, and of course cleaning down and planning for the next service. Above all, they will learn how to work as a valuable member of the team, performing in a busy kitchen, serving lunch and dinner with passion and high standards. Qualifications required
Ideally level 4 Maths & English GCSE
Training you'll get
One day a week at College gaining Level 2 Commis Chef qualification. Mentor in workplace and skills officer visit to workplace every 6-8 weeks.
Future prospects
You’ll aim to progress to a full time chef de partie role with the opportunity for career progression within the team in time
