Location: London, SE21

Salary: £16,640 per annum for the first year
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Working hours: Shifts between 7:30am and 6:30pm

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Early Years Apprentice to join a friendly and supportive team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn, gain practical experience and work towards a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification.

You’ll play an important role in supporting children’s development, creating positive relationships and helping to provide a safe, inclusive and engaging environment.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Years Apprentice, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting children with their care, play and learning activities

• Helping create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment

• Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues

• Supporting children at different ages and stages of development

• Observing children and reporting any concerns to your line manager

• Communicating with parents and carers about children’s needs and progress

• Maintaining accurate records and documentation

• Working closely with colleagues and other professionals

• Following nursery policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements

• Taking part in training, meetings and professional development

• Completing coursework, assignments and other apprenticeship activities

Your Training

You’ll spend most of your time gaining practical, hands-on experience in the workplace, alongside dedicated training to help you develop the knowledge and skills needed for a successful career in Early Years.

Your training will include:

• Online learning and coursework

• Virtual classrooms and webinars

• One-to-one support from a dedicated tutor

• Workplace observations and reviews

• Dedicated training time within your working hours

• A nationally recognised Level 3 qualification

• No college attendance required

Salary & Working Hours

You’ll receive £16,640 per year during your first 12 months.

The apprenticeship wage applies during the first 12 months regardless of your age. After 12 months, the National Minimum Wage rate applicable to your age group will apply.

You’ll work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with shifts taking place between 7:30am and 6:30pm.

You don’t necessarily need previous Early Years experience. We’re looking for someone who is genuinely interested in working with children and is keen to learn and develop.

Relevant qualifications or previous industry experience are welcomed, and your apprenticeship training can be adapted to reflect the skills and knowledge you already have.
