As an IT Configuration Technician Apprentice, you will:
Working in collaboration with the Technical Services Coordinator to configure and test equipment to ensure software has been installed prior to being sent to the customer’s premises.
Working in conjunction with the Warehouse team to assist with identification and verification of product.
Carryout site builds by connecting to the client’s server.
Perform quality control checks/ system checks.
Skills required
Working knowledge in building PCs, physically adaptable and motivated to move IT equipment.
Exposure of Windows XP, Windows 10
Basic electronics knowledge
Understanding of basic networking principles
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
The flexibility and willingness to learn
Qualifications required
5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent, including English Language and Maths.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Information Communications Technician, with training in how to:
Efficiently operate and control your ICT infrastructure – physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and at a storage.
Use infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment and monitoring of infrastructure components.
Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance.
Maintain regulatory, legal and professional standards.
Support the information systems needs for your business.
