Full Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Raising purchase orders on the Celestra in-house management system.

  • Data entry using our Xero accounting system including maintaining a Sales & Purchase ledger

  • Involvement in the setup of customer invoices and credit notes

  • Learning about the processing of employee expenses & reconciling supplier statements

  • Reviewing new and existing suppliers

  • Raising and preparing Sales Invoices and statements, credit control, supplier & internal account reconciliations & preparing payroll, expense claims

  • General office support, such as answering the telephone, meet and greet customers, photocopying and scanning paperwork and filing

  • Extensive use of Excel, at advanced level.

  • Communicate with project teams, account managers and electrical supervisor to ensure that paperwork has been complete promptly and accurately.

  • Other ad-hoc duties as directed by the finance team.

  • To support with ad-hoc projects as instructed by the finance manager.

  • Good administration skills

  • Familiarity with business software such as Microsoft Office / Outlook / Excel

  • A high level of confidentiality

  • Strong interpersonal and customer-facing skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • The flexibility and willingness to learn

  • The ability to work as part of a team

  • The ability to work accurately, with attention to detail

Qualifications required

English and Maths GCSEs 4-9

Future prospects

The potential to go on to do further study and move onto a permanent contract if the apprenticeship framework is completed in full
