What You’ll Do

Project & Estimating Support

  • Assist with the administration of electrical and MEP projects

  • Help obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors

  • Support the preparation of project estimates and pricing

  • Maintain accurate project and tender records

  • Provide general support with project coordination

Tender Support

  • Assist with preparing and submitting tender documents

  • Research information required for upcoming tenders

  • Keep tender records and databases up to date

  • Follow up on tender submissions

  • Help monitor potential project opportunities

Client & Business Development

  • Research potential clients and new business opportunities

  • Assist with email and telephone communication

  • Support existing client relationships

  • Help maintain key client account information

  • Research potential projects and opportunities

  • Keep business development records up to date

Administration

  • Prepare and organise documents, reports and correspondence

  • Maintain accurate records and spreadsheets

  • Use Microsoft Office and other business systems

  • Support the team with day-to-day administration

  • Communicate with clients, suppliers and subcontractors

  • Handle confidential information appropriately

Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship

Alongside your workplace responsibilities, you’ll work towards a Level 3 Business Administration qualification.

You’ll develop practical skills and knowledge in areas including:

  • Business administration and office procedures

  • Microsoft Office and digital business systems

  • Data entry, spreadsheets and record keeping

  • Preparing professional emails, documents and reports

  • Customer and client communication

  • Organising and prioritising workloads

  • Managing deadlines and competing tasks

  • Project support and coordination

  • Problem solving and using initiative

  • Supporting business improvement

  • Managing meetings, events and business activities

  • Using project management principles and tools

The apprenticeship will allow you to put your learning into practice through your day-to-day project support and business administration responsibilities.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is organised, keen to learn and interested in developing a career in business administration, project support, estimating or business development.

Desirable

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Previous administration or office experience

  • Interest in project management, construction or business development

  • Confidence communicating by phone and email

  • Experience handling confidential information

Qualifications

GCSEs in Maths, English and Science at grades 4–9 (A–C)* are required.


Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
