Role SummaryAs a Social Media & Marketing Apprentice, you help amplify our community presence, showcase our local impact, and increase public engagement across all digital platforms. You create compelling multimedia content, assist with targeted marketing campaigns, manage day-to-day social media channels, and learn key digital analytics—all while gaining a nationally recognized Level 3 qualification in Multi-Channel Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media Management
- Content Scheduling: Support the daily management, scheduling, and posting across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Content Calendar Creation: Develop organized monthly content calendars aligned with upcoming charity initiatives and awareness days.
- Community Engagement: Write clear, persuasive captions for diverse audiences; monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries promptly.
- Short-Form Video: Produce and edit engaging Instagram Reels, TikToks, and Stories to drive audience growth and participation.
- Trend Analysis: Stay up to date with emerging digital media trends, platform algorithms, and interactive tools.
- Content Creation & Design
- Visual Assets: Design high-impact graphics, digital flyers, posters, and presentation slides using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Media Capture: Attend live charity programmes, workshops, and community events to capture high-quality photographs and video footage.
- Media Library Management: Edit raw media content and organize a searchable archive of images, video clips, and branding assets.
- Impact Storytelling: Craft success stories and highlight reels demonstrating the real-world impact of our services.
- Integrated Marketing & Campaigns
- Campaign Support: Assist in planning and delivering targeted marketing campaigns for local initiatives, volunteer drives, and fundraising events.
- Email & Digital Comms: Draft digital newsletters, promotional emails, and announcements using marketing platforms.
- Collateral Distribution: Coordinate the production and local distribution of physical marketing materials (posters, leaflets, banners).
- Digital & Website Content
- Website Management: Keep website news sections, event listings, and service details accurate, engaging, and current.
- SEO Best Practices: Apply basic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques, including keyword optimization, image alt text, and meta descriptions, to increase web traffic.
- Analytics & Performance Tracking
- Metrics Monitoring: Track key performance metrics including reach, click-through rates, impression counts, and follower growth.
- Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly marketing performance reports to identify high-performing content and optimize future campaigns.
- Teamwork & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with project coordinators to translate community programme requirements into marketing plans.
- Creative Brainstorming: Attend team meetings, contribute fresh campaign ideas, and represent the organisation professionally at external events.
