Working as part of a supportive team, you’ll contribute to the Construction Technical Excellence and Construction Skills Exchange programmes, helping to keep projects running smoothly and ensuring important information and evidence is accurate and up to date. You’ll process placement records, organise evidence to support funding claims and communicate confidently with colleagues, clients and delivery partners.

The Apprentice Project Administrator (CTEC/TIE) will provide administrative support to the Construction Technical Excellence College (CTEC) and Teacher Industry Exchange (TIE) programmes. This is an apprentice post designed to provide structured development while supporting essential programme administration. The primary focus of the role will be processing placement records and funding claims accurately within a monthly schedule. The postholder will maintain records, update spreadsheets, check information and claims evidence. They will communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders. They will work under supervision, following agreed processes and escalating queries where required.

Key Duties:

Process Teacher Industry Exchange placement records accurately, ensuring participant, employer, activity and evidence information is complete.

• Support the preparation, checking and submission of funding claims in line with agreed processes and deadlines.

• Maintain accurate spreadsheets, trackers and records relating to placements, claims, outputs and supporting evidence.

• Check records for accuracy, completeness and consistency, referring queries or missing information to the appropriate colleague.

• Organise and file documentation so that programme records are clear, accessible and audit-ready. • Use Excel to enter, sort, filter and check data, and to support routine monitoring and reporting activity.

• Provide routine administrative support to the CTEC and TIE programmes, including document preparation, email correspondence and information gathering.

• Communicate professionally with stakeholders including colleagues, delivery partners, employers and participants to request, confirm or clarify information.

• Support the administration of meetings, briefings and placement-related activity where required, including maintaining attendance records and action notes.

• Work diligently to agreed procedures, maintaining confidentiality, observing data protection and privacy policies, and escalating issues, risks or errors promptly.

• Engage positively with apprenticeship training, supervision and development activities linked to the role.

Skills required

Good knowledge of use of Microsoft software.

Qualifications required

Maths and English at grade 4/C of equivalent
