What You’ll Do
As an Accounting Apprentice, you’ll develop practical accounting and audit skills, including:
- Assist with audit planning and preparation
- Support the delivery of financial audits
- Carry out audit testing and record findings
- Review and analyse financial records and statements
- Gather and check financial information from clients
- Develop an understanding of business processes and financial controls
- Prepare and maintain accurate audit files and working papers
- Identify and report potential issues to senior members of the audit team
- Support general accounting and finance administration
- Organise your workload and meet deadlines

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is interested in building a career in accountancy, audit or finance and is keen to learn.
Essential
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own car
- Interest in accounting, auditing or finance
- Good attention to detail
- Logical and organised approach to work
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
Desirable
- A Levels or equivalent qualifications
- Previous office, administration, finance or customer service experience
