You'll be based within a school environment, providing on-site IT support to staff and students while learning from experienced IT professionals. This is a fantastic opportunity to build practical skills in technical support, networking, hardware and software, and customer service.

About the Role

As an IT Support Technician Apprentice, you'll provide first-line technical support across two nearby school sites, helping to ensure staff and students have reliable access to IT systems and equipment.

You'll gain experience with a wide range of technologies while developing the knowledge and skills needed for a successful career in IT.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide first-line IT support to staff and students

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues

  • Support Windows PCs, laptops, printers and other IT equipment

  • Assist with Microsoft 365 user accounts, passwords and permissions

  • Set up, configure and install new devices

  • Log and manage support requests using the helpdesk system

  • Maintain accurate IT records and documentation

  • Support classroom technology and audiovisual equipment

  • Help maintain secure, reliable IT systems across both school sites

  • Deliver excellent customer service while supporting end users

Essential Requirements

  • GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)

  • Good IT and computer skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • A genuine interest in technology

Additional Requirements

  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.

  • This role supports two school sites located approximately six miles apart, so you'll need to travel between both sites during the working day.

  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
