Our Finance team sits at the heart of a dynamic global business, supporting financial reporting, treasury and commercial decision-making across the SSY group.
The Role
The Finance Apprentice will have the opportunity to study towards the ICAEW Chartered Accountant (ACA) qualification while gaining practical experience across a wide range of financial operations including accounting, consolidation, treasury, tax, financial modelling, reconciliations and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Finance apprentices typically assist with a variety of financial tasks under supervision, including:
Preparing journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany balances across the group’s international entities
Supporting month-end and year-end close activities, including consolidation, variance analysis, and IFRS financial reporting
Assisting with statutory audits and tax compliance, and maintaining accurate financial records
Providing financial analysis and information to budget holders and stakeholders
Participating in ad-hoc projects and supporting the wider finance team while building practical work experience towards ICAEW requirements
