About the Role
This is the perfect opportunity for an ambitious candidate with a desire to forge a career in manufacturing, offering excellent opportunities for future progression into management and/or technical roles within the company.
You'll get the chance to move around all the different departments in the company, building an understanding of the business as a whole.
You'll work your way around the workshop, experiencing every aspect of designing and manufacturing high-end hermetic metal packages and components — including mechanical processes and programming — giving you knowledge of the product from design through to completion.
What You'll Be Doing
- Using CNC machinery
- Operating industrial machinery, including a hydraulic press, grinder and lathe
- Fitting the right tools to active machines
- Carrying out set-up and calibration procedures for equipment and accessories
- Setting tolerance levels and cutting speeds
- Translating detailed part drawings into production measurements
- Inspecting workflows to ensure technical and quality standards are met

Minimum grade C/4 in Maths and English at GCSE
