Business Administrator Apprentice – Level 3

Monday to Friday, 9:00am–3:00pm
30 hours per week
What You'll Do
You’ll support the day-to-day running of the office and gain experience across a range of business administration tasks, including:
Carrying out general office administration
Answering and making telephone calls
Responding to emails and customer enquiries
Updating records, databases and spreadsheets
Filing and organising paperwork and electronic documents
Assisting with invoices, quotes and purchase orders
Booking appointments and helping coordinate schedules
Supporting colleagues with administrative tasks
Keeping office systems and records accurate and up to date
Customer Service
You’ll also have regular contact with customers, including:
Handling customer enquiries professionally over the phone
Passing information to the relevant members of the team
Following up customer enquiries when required
Building positive working relationships with customers and colleagues
Attending customer meetings
Marketing
The role also includes some marketing responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to develop skills in:
Making outbound marketing calls
Assisting with social media content and updates
Creating simple marketing materials and social media posts
Supporting online marketing activities
Gathering content from the business
Maintaining the company’s social media presence
Supporting promotional campaigns

GCSE English – Grade 3–9
GCSE Maths – Grade 3–9
Good timekeeping
Good organisational skills

Training & Development
You’ll work towards a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard while gaining hands-on experience in the workplace.
Training will include:
Business administration
Microsoft Office and other IT systems
Data entry and maintaining databases
Preparing emails, letters and business documents
Record keeping and document management
Customer service and communication
Financial administration
Social media and digital communication
Organisation and time management
Problem-solving and decision-making
Supporting business projects
You’ll also complete Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths if required.
Career Progression
You’ll gain practical experience across business administration, customer service and marketing, with support throughout your apprenticeship.
There is the opportunity to progress into a permanent position on successful completion of the apprenticeship, with the chance to take on additional responsibilities as your skills and confidence develop.
