Business Administration Apprentice

Kick-start your career in business administration with a company that manufactures and supplies specialist electronic components — no experience required, just a willingness to learn.
You'll work towards a nationally recognised Business Administrator (Level 3) apprenticeship standard, gaining hands-on experience across office administration, order processing, invoicing, and the practical side of getting orders out the door. You'll be trusted with real responsibility from day one, supported every step of the way by the team and your training provider.
As your training progresses, you'll build skills and take on increasing responsibility across three areas of the business:
General administrationAnswer calls, emails, and general enquiries as a first point of contact for the businessSupport diary management, meeting scheduling, and appointment coordinationMaintain accurate physical and digital filing systemsDraft and format correspondence, letters, reports, and documents with feedback and supportProvide general administrative support to Managers and the wider teamMonitor office supplies and liaise with suppliersHelp coordinate meetings and events — preparing agendas, taking minutes, and organising logisticsLearn how the company's ISO 9001 quality management system works and help keep compliance records up to dateHandle sensitive and confidential information appropriately, in line with GDPR and company policy
Order processing, ERP and invoicingLearn to process supplier and purchase orders on the company's Odoo ERP systemMatch purchase orders, delivery notes, and supplier invoices, and learn to flag discrepanciesBuild up order records and track orders from receipt through to fulfilment and invoicingGain exposure to basic stock and inventory record-keeping
Order preparation, packing and shippingLearn to prepare customer orders for dispatch — picking, packing, and labelling correctlyLearn to book shipments with couriers and freight providers, including the paperwork involvedHelp track outbound shipments and learn how to resolve delivery issuesLearn best practice for packing sensitive electronic components safely for transitKeep despatch records on the ERP system up to date as you gain confidence
