Job Description:
Turnkey Consulting is seeking a motivated Accounts Assistant Apprentice to join its Finance team. This is a learning-focused role for someone beginning a career in finance, particularly a school leaver who has completed A-levels and wishes to study towards an ACCA qualification while gaining hands-on experience. Prior finance experience is not required, although some form of work experience is desirable. Full training, guidance and support will be provided.
Working closely with the Financial Analyst, UK Finance Manager and Chief Financial Officer, the apprentice will gain exposure to day-to-day finance activities and wider business operations. Responsibilities will include:
Learning how to prepare customer and supplier invoices and financial journals.
Developing skills in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Reviewing employee expense claims accurately and in line with company policies.
Building knowledge of payroll processing, tax returns and audit preparation.
Communicating with clients and suppliers to help resolve finance-related queries.
Assisting with financial reports and other business-critical documents.
Maintaining accurate records and supporting the Finance team with general administrative tasks.
Building effective working relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders.
Organising and prioritising workloads, meeting deadlines and escalating queries when support is required.
The role is based near London Bridge and follows a hybrid arrangement, with three office days expected each week. The successful applicant must be prepared to work away from home during the week if required and must have the permanent right to work in the UK. The role does not provide relocation assistance or visa sponsorship.
