Legal Support Team Apprentice

Start your career in a well-established legal firm with a role that trains you from day one. You'll be the friendly, professional face of the Legal Support Team, welcoming clients, handling enquiries and keeping the office running smoothly. You'll work towards a Level 3 Business Administration qualification while gaining hands-on experience of legal systems and professional standards. No experience is needed. We'll teach you everything.
What you'll be doing
Reception
- Greet clients and visitors, sign them in and direct them to the right person
- Answer calls and emails, and pass on detailed messages
- Manage incoming and outgoing post, deliveries and couriers
Client onboarding
- Onboard new clients by issuing, collecting and verifying documents
- Prepare and send engagement letters following firm procedures
- Support KYC (Know Your Client) ID checks and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) compliance
- Keep client records and systems accurate and up to date
Admin support
- File, scan, photocopy and manage documents
- Scan daily post into the case management system
- Help with diary management, meeting scheduling and room bookings
- Raise invoices on client cases and pass them to the finance team
- Pick up other admin tasks as needed
Training and development
- Complete a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship
- Get ongoing support from mentors and team leaders
- Learn how legal systems and procedures work
- Progress your career within the firm

- Good Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)

- Discretion when handling confidential information
- The ability to take ownership of your own work
Desirable (not required)
- Experience of new business enquiries or an admin role
- Experience in a legal or professional services setting
Requirements
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above
